Sensible decision to give him only a 12 month contract :)

Won't be saying that if he has a storming season and performs like Bobby Moore, only to be sold for half a million in January ;-)

'Why weren't he on a longer contract'? Just can't win.

He is lucky to be getting the 1 year.

Personally I'd have given him two years but I am happy we've given him an extension. He may not be player of the season but he is steady away and consistent. IMO he is good enough for this league.

Think people should stop knocking Steve Foster!!!!!!!!!!! Think about it.

Hes been a top servant to the club
    He always gives his best
He stuck with the club through all these years
Never quibbles about anything and just gets on with it
He helped get us up from Lg 1
Hes the second longest serving member at the club

And now hes been offered a contract where he is being paid in penny washers and he still wants to play for the club! No quibbles - signed straight away.

No compare Foster to Andy Gray!

Last year Gray couldn't wait to sign that extension he had written into his contract
On a lot more that foster id reckon
This year hes also been offered to be paid in penny washers and hes not turned down a contract but hes left things in limbo whilst he looks around for something better. If he cant get any takers hel come back and sign one by all accounts. Mixed reports on his contract so not sure what to believe but Hill stated he'd offered him one so i believe that.

Foster will continue to give his all and im sure hed love to finish his career here.

So id say lay off him. He may be getting that bit slower and that bit older but so is bobby. We need a couple of old wise heads around the place like those 2.

He`s had a few partners at the back since being here and yet he still remains. Last 3 managers have all signed him because he is steady away and an old school professional, maybe being thought of as a squad player for next season but whats the betting he ends up being a regular, yet again, after another central defensive partnership without him goes tits up.

I'd rather have a 1/2 a season of a disloyal player like Vaz the Waz than 5 years of mediocrity from "loyal" servent of the club Foster.
