Wasn't he on about 7k a week here as club captain and a first team regular? With the lower budgets, his lack of games at different clubs since leaving us etc i'd not have him back for more than 4k.

 

id have all 3 of them at oakwell, unfortunately im pretty sure howard doesn't want to move back north and we couldn't afford the other 2

 

i'd take Howard and the Polish bloke

 

Be good if certain gossip that he has already contacted Hillcroft saying he is interested at whatever cost were true

 

Booozy Bri? Certainly worth a shout providing he's prepared to accept a sensible pay deal in accordance with our pay structure and understand it's a team game, which is more likely this time around following his realisation (too late) that career wise often the grass actually isn't that much greener (although no doubt his agent was happier). In exchange for which he'd have a good chance of playing most weeks, which would be a nice change for him given the game time he's had pretty much everywhere he's been since he binned us off.

I'd also happily take Andy Griffin for a year, unless his legs have gone. Perfect example of what we should be looking for, loads of Prem/Champ experience, solid defender who knows his role inside out, has I think been captain for at least one of his previous teams so obviously a good talker/leader on the pitch, and would be an excellent role model for our young defenders. Just played a key part in a promotion winning side at our level, and most likely affordable. What's not to like? I repeat, unless his legs have gone.

 

I'd have em all (money depending). All three are better than what we currently have.

 

if he came back he would demand to be the main man, just the type of character he is. not for me!
