We have had plenty of strikers that given us some stick over the years mostly deserved due to the stick he's had from the terraces. Where has this type of banter gone, attitudes of fans and players has all gone too serious over the years,
Dean Windass, Steve Claridge gave us plenty of stick and banged a few goals in. Laws of the games have probably had a lot to do with changing attitudes.
I can never remember either of those 2 running the opposite way of there team mates to celebrate like Nolan does
He was taking some stick (as he always does) so gave some back. It's banter. It wasn't directed at you but the 'Barnsley fans', it's like pantomime, the villain and the audience.
I didn't hear the Cardiff lot giving Nolan any stick, he's done the same against Reading, Peterbrough and now Cardiff. When someone drops him he might think twice about doing it in future.
Probably never. But then when someone finally takes exception to him and runs on the pitch to give him what he deserves, that person will be in bother. Nothing hard about him goading opposition fans from the safety of the field. If he's so hard the acne faced **** should do it outside the ground.
Anyone that pillocks Cardiff fans is alright. We reserve the right to call players all the names under the sun, give em the w@nker sign, tell em their wives take it up the arse etc etc but wo betide one that does a demented chicken impression when they score.
Ha ha. Only time i've genuinely wanted to run on the pitch was Ricardo Fuller the other year. Banter is fine like we used to get with the likes of Jason Lee, Adrian Pennock and Dean Windass. It's when a player blatantly wants to piss off the fans from the safety of the pitch, knowing full well they wouldn't act that way outside the ground.
It's more than the chicken impression, watch last nights goals and watch Mr Nolans actions towards the Cardiff fans after the 1st goal, granted its not as bad as his recent exploits but could still wind some fans up the long way
To be fair as much as I can't get wound up about players giving it back - if he's done it unprovoked then somebody wants a word - not seen last night's action so fair do's if he's deserving of a crack.
Dropping somebody for having a bit of fun? Even if it is goading, so what? Get a grip people, rise above it.
