So now the season is over. Which teams/players from around the world have impressed you recently?

I'll start with Neymar at Santos. I wasn't too impressed early this season, but they've improved and on Thursday they took apart Bolivar in the Copa Libertadores. Trailing 1-2 from the first leg the score was 5-0 at half time with Neymar scoring two and setting up two (both for Elano). One of the best team performances I've seen for a long time with a 8-0 scoreline that was deserved.

Aparently none other than Pele thinks that Neymar is better than Messi (and hes only 20). Watch out for him on the Brazil team at the Olympics.

Messi and Barca of course, they are the only team out of England aren't they?

Messi yes absolutely. Team I'd go for Swansea. Superb football, no stars.

Messi for me. I've enjoyed watching Barcelona, Swansea, Manchester City, Norwich and Barnsley (from the beginning of September till the end of January).

David Silva for most of the season, or Papise Cisse for the last part. Enjoyed watching Bilbao and Napoli.

Gotta agree with that, Papiss Cisse buy of the season by a mile. Newcastle in general have been good to watch for the majority of the season, some great players like Cisse, Ba, Ben Arfa, Cabaye, Krul, Tiote, think they could kick on next season if they manage to get a couple more Cissesque signings.

Outside England, i'd agree with Bilbao and Napoli, saw a fantastic performance by an italian club though, can't remember who it was. Genoa or Udinese I think, fantastic performance against Lazio I think it was, brilliant.
