Could you perhaps enlighten me as to what in life you find enjoyment in? Maybe it is gardening, or golf, I would very much like to know. I have pondered this before actually, but never thought to ask. I do ask, now, because (a) I am bored, and (b) due to reading your many musings upon this forum it appears/seems - to me at least - that you are a very angry and negative chap who only criticises, or moans no matter the given subject. I await your forthright and positive response. *btw, I like mashed potato... and I am quite partial to oxygen - it helps me to breathe
Pretty much everything. I enjoy most sports especially football, I like most music and don't care if it is embarrassing or something I apparently shouldn't like. I don't care if the band or group met when they were 5 years old or if uncle simon put them together for a TV show, if it sounds good to my ears then I like it. Same with TV show's. I'm not supposed to like Glee but I don't care, its great. Gardening is relaxing but i'm not very good at it to be honest, how am I supposed to know the difference between weeds and plants? I like listening to the radio in the car, I laugh at the callers on football heaven, some of them are ridiculous, some are insightful, others are hypocrites slating people for criticising their club and then phoning in to do exactly the same a week later before going back to slating the critics again (hi whitey). I enjoy reading but never actually get round to it these days. I enjoy spending time with family and with friends. I enjoy learning and discovering new things. I enjoy life. Not nearly as negative as it would appear on this forum in all honesty. BFC just piss me off because I want the club to grow and to achieve it's potential while the board seems happy to just plod along and survive with no real attempt to make the most of what could be a fantastic club. Sadly after years of defeatist talk they have managed to convince many supporters that we should settle for anything because we are forever in their debt for even having a club. Personally I think that is ********.
Pretty much sums up my feeling on the club, and (dare I say) most other people who are labelled as negative or whatever on here. I actually think those people are more bothered about the club.
Like it? I've got the tshirt http://www.zazzle.com/custom_urban_dictionary_tshirt_light-235245270191392084
I liked Abba Although it was more to do with trying to look up the skirts of the two girls than anything else. I was a dirty, old man even when I was a teenager!!
Is that the one where you phone the girls appearing on the screen? I did that once. But she was rubbish! She couldn't help me at all with my work on comparing & contrasting Iron Age inhumations and Bog Bodies!! I'm just glad I'd reversed the charges.
Re: Is that the one where you phone the girls appearing on the screen? We used to get them to do the YMCA.
Crystal & Laura like Glee I prefer more intellectual, high-brow programmes. Like Dad's Army, Fawlty Towers and Open All Hours!!
SuperTyke - Mate, I think you already know that my post yesterday was a bit of fun. So fair play to you for taking it in that spirit. I may be a **** to some on ere, but I rarely - if ever - bad mouth or abuse fellow posters. Its not in my nature, despite me being on the end of some vitriol at times from certain plebs. There is one in this thread, he knows who he is and my view of him as a lovely person is shared by many. But anyhoo, I was genuinely interested in knowing what floated your boat, pal. You gave me an insight into that, and I thank you for doing so. I wasnt referring to you as negative or angry at purely BFC - I agree with most of your rants of that nature, especially regards the clubs off the field activities. I am as disillusioned as the next man, and if that makes even me, a negative ****, then hey ho. I actually started the thread in a general way. Because you had just had a go at the character of Lewis Hamilton. And it is something I have noticed previously, and quite often - that you have little positive or happy to say about anything, or anybody. I was bored, which I admitted, and whilst I am indeed a quite ****tish bloke at times, I intended no harm. Just had to clarify that. And again, thanks for your erudite reply, and the remark about Football Heaven caused my mouth to open and laughter to come out - thanks for that. I love you.
