I'm as big a critic of Don Rowing as anyone, but let's not jump to conclusions just yet.

Gally, any chance we can ask this question directly to the club and get an official response? In the event that there was something in there then it might paint a different picture on the Vaz Te sale. Based on what we know so far it looks shocking, but if the final fee ended up being around £1m because of a promotion clause then it might have been a price worth paying for almost being relegated.

Really? If we had gone down we would be £3 million down on income straightaway.

Furthermore, the impact of the awaful form of the second half of the season will still be being felt when it comes to season ticket renewal numbers.

If there is a clause (which I'm in no doubt there should be) then its alright business. If not, then it's *****.

If we do get extra for them being promoted then I still believe the board needs sacking for such piss poor PR in keeping it quiet. If fans are complaining that we haven't got enough money and we have actually potentially got a lot more than the fans think then any board that doesnt point the clause out needs sacking.

That said I don't think there's a cat in hells chance that we put a clause in there, our board are *****.

Not when they don't officially disclose anything. The only reason we know it was £500k was from Big Sam's interview.

All we got from DR at the time was that they were "very happy" with the fee.

Which is why I have much more sympathy for him than many on this board.

1) He was honest enough to say it, at the risk of his job.
2) It's hard to deliver, when your employers pull the rug from under you.
