    What a guy. Nothing but respect for a guy who has played one 90 minutes in five years and played 3 minutes last season, but still managed to get himself a contract extension at QPR :)

    i have never understood why anyone ever rated him! he was half decent at Ipswich and had a few good games for newcastle but the kid is forever being given new contracts just to sit in the medical room and to top it off as over 30 england caps!! have i missed something?

    Think if he'd not been so injury prone he'd have made a quality player. However, like you say, he is. Can't see him actually being any good now even if he got fit.

    think about that for a moment.. your telling me if you were given the choice to retire or keep picking up 20k a week for doing nowt for the next 4 years you would retire??
