It seems to have got a few backs up, more now that we've found out there's no promotion clause. I don't recall The Don being interviewed about it since they've gone up. Should fans be given an explanation? Is their nothing to discuss about the running of the club? We are breaking even after all? Are we all just a set of nosey *******s?

    Discuss.

Absolutely. I'd just about accepted the paltry fee we got for him due to the circumstances at the time of sale but the lack of a promotion clause considering the likelihood of West Ham being promoted is nothing short of disgraceful for a professional football club and I want them to explain to me why one wasn't included. Would West Ham really have walked away if we wanted another million from the premier league money they will be getting - I doubt it. I'm sick of us being mugged in the transfer market.

The club would benefit from communicating with it's supporters in general.

The wall of silence is deafening, and a massive factor in why so many people feel 'distanced' from the club.

On Vaz Te, given that they appear to be content to sit back quietly while West Ham tell the world what a bargain he was, I don't expect to hear any sort of defence or explanation of the deal. We'll get no more than we got at the time the deal was done (i.e. the player/his agent forced our hand and we were happy with the fee!)

I hope to be proved wrong on this, but I don't expect to.

Just how many more **** ups are we going to have to endure!

It all started with colchester stubs and is now eating away at the finances of the club. If i had dropped as many ****** as they have recently id prob be on the end of a right royal dressing down.

Id like some answers!!! Not been nosey... rather seriously pissed how my club is been run! We are a laughing stock in the eyes of the hammers fans and i dare say many others. Got west ham, mates and they were pretty quick to say thanks for vaz tez lol etc and even fat sam says what a signing,

Sort it out please or get someone in who can.

Yes, The Don said he was happy, Keef said he wasn't.

I agree with the sentiments expressed but The Don is doing what he has been asked to do. That is ensure the club runs without relying on PC.

    Genius

Wouldn't it be easier to just email our current account to the other clubs, cut down on all that tedious tranfer negotiation business :)

    but thats just it

hes blown close to a million quid in income in my opinion! We shoud have got more than £500k initially! - FACT we should have had further clauses in there for promotion, resale etc.. FACT

but the actual FACT is we gave him away for peanuts.

How is the club going to survive if it keeps squandering its assets for paltry amounts of cash.

Then there is the Luke Steel contract and also the short contracts of the VERY promising young guns! We are not managing our assets properly.

It is these mistakes - continual mistakes - that have disillusioned me. Yes, the last 3 months of football was dire, but I am a supporter and more crucially, a BFC supporter - I am used to failure etc. That wouldn't ever be enough to force me to turn my back on the club I love.
It is the absolute fcukery at board level that has left me incensed. The mistakes would be acceptable (ish) if we fcukin learnt from them. But we seemingly do not. We just repeat a failed routine, whether it is contracts, transfer sales, tickets or whatever. And that to me smacks of an idiot in charge, or worse, a club/board who don't give a **** what we think.
Pretty much 12 months ago, after the bizarre departure of Mark Robins, we got a club statement, promising radical changes.
"It is Einstein's definition of madness to keep doing the same thing whilst expecting different results"
They have done EXACTLY the same thing as they always do, ever since that statement, and that's why I won't renew. It is time for me to be more radical, and spend my time and money on those who reciprocate my love.
    Amen

Why, they explaied it enough when we sold him. His contract was running out and he wasn't going to sign another one, so they sold him. Yes we're all dissapointed it's only 500k, but to a small club like ours, that's a fair size wedge. West Ham may get £5million for him, but that 500k will benefit us more than that will them, considering the huge debt they're in. I still can't get over the Danny Gabbidon on 70k a week phenominom.

Unbelievable - not the Gabbidon wage, but your Don Rowing thinking. Easily pleased it seems.

The Don is too busy trying to fleece supporters (home and away) and trying to get us to make some 'noise' on twitter to win £30k to spend on a flaming cannon to fire double-double tshirts into the crowd

when the fact is, if we were competent in transfer dealings, we would make more money than both these schemes combined

The man has shown he is inept at running a football club on his own. He needs support or he needs to f off

But why should we settle for peanuts just because we're a small club? If a player is worth £5 million then that is his value regardless of who he plays for. As I said in my first post I can just about accept the initial fee due to the circumstances but there is no excuse to forfeit any promotion or sell on clauses in the deal, no excuses at all.

I'm not so sure it was as clean cut as that.

This implies that KH has had the rug pulled from beneath him. He clearly stated at the time that we could cope without Vaz Te.

The fatal mistake was in SELLING him (having already lost Butterfield and Drinkwater), not the amount that we received from West Ham - which (it could be argued) was the market value. The Don and KH must take equal blame for this...

I accept that and I'm the last person who would say that is a good thing hut what he has done, and this is how it will be looked at, is that he has secured transfer income that has helped us achieve objective one, that is staying solvent wihout PC.

Presumably, they took £500k rather than nothing at the end of the season. How many other clubs had offers on the table?

I was regarding Hills comments about the disappointing fee we received.
