Well, I just happened to be noseying at Ken Bates' latest interview on a dirty site, and he gives us his answer. In the link, its not the first and latest interview, but the next one down, announcing the reasons for sacking Larry. Its only a couple of sentences though, but I found both those first two interviews quite amusing. He certainly isnt my cuppa tea. But he does state the type of manager he wants, and certain things that would rule a guy out. But I am no nearer to knowing if King Keith is a genuine target. My mind says he is, just based on the wage bill comment... have a geez, see what you think. I have to say, if our actual wage bill is the figure he suggests, then wow... (good wow, or bad wow? you decide) . http://www.lufcchat.com/what-the-bearded-cockney-turd-said . Enjoy (or not)
He wants everything that was required at our club last season the main facter value for money, given their gate prices probably more so for the fans. Its a difficult job to turn down for any Manager in the Championship but you can't worry it I hope those words to Vaz Te are remembered!
He's clearly a ****ing tax exile but still feels he has the right to comment on the BBC. Pay your ****ing taxes you **** and the BBC might be ok. Oh and stay away from Keeflicker. The Don is a tough negotiator tha knows.
We don't know if it is actually £4.5m and we don't know (if accurate) if that figure represented first team squad or the entire salaries, bonuses and national insurance costs of the club. It's a heck of a chunk of pennies though.
he said it somewhere gally. not sure if it was in STAR paper or The We Are Barnsley Interview. Remember it been in a thread on here. Remember jay saying thats a bit too high. We spend as much as Doncaster. Barry Fry said that he was 100% certain they had the lowest wage bill. that was rumoured at start of season to be about 6.5 million. Ken Bates should shut up.
Knew I hadn't imagined it. £4.5M according to somebody with more knowledge than us. But with it being Ken Bates, it's possible that he's mistaken. Maybe we could get Matthew Murray or someone of that nature to put the question to the club. What was the budget for last year - the budget that will be this years too.
Re: So our wage bill is now £8.5 million ? Not sure why it's so important to HT to prove that we have a large wage bill ?
Why should our board let every other team know what our budget is when this is the most vital time of the year for bringing players in? I'd rather if Rowing was asked what our yearly wage bill was he'd reply with "**** off it's none of your business".
Why would we believe Ken Bates what BFC's wage bill is? Did he meet The Don & Mr Invisible in the board room and after a crate of Cava The Don began to get loose lips?
