Who is the marketing ringmaster at Jokewell - just when you think you've seen it all

Hey Presto, a brand new home ticket pricing system that is on par or maybe even a bigger kick in the balls to its supporters than last seasons CAT A debarcle.

At the start of last season we were 1700 season ticket holdrs down and I dare say the same again for this season come August, so that is 3 - 3500 seaso ticket holders who have voted with their feet because of what is happening to our club.

PC has done a wonderful job to keep us afloat but his days are numbered with a mixture of poor health and the pending court case but him aside its ran like an ametuer chimps tea party, they are so out of touch with its supporters its shameful.

Unless Hill backs up his mouth with these 5 championship players then Jokewell will have 7,000 home supporters max every week and unless he signs proven championship quality a team mostly of lower league dross relegated by Xmas.

The club is on its arse and is dying at an alarming rate and todays announcement was the cherry on the cake for me, Disco Don and his cronies do not have a clue.

The club are doing a fantastic job!!!

 

The only job the club are suceeding in is systematically running it down each season

and totally alienating its supporters.

The Chuckle Brothers also do a fantastic job !! I'd swap Disco Don for them any day of the week !!

Just when I thought this bored couldn't get any more stupid we now have 'fans' moaning about out new pricing scheme.

Not only happy to moan about 'the don' and 'RUMOURED LINKS' and 'jokewell' now it's our pricing. For just £3 yes £3 you can become a member of Barnsley fc and get a ticket to watch a championship football game for £25!

Now I've either missed something or I'm just plain ******* stupid but can someone tell me what the club as done wrong in releasing these prices?

I've come to conclusion that 65% of supposed 'fans' on here are just total japs eyes who can't wait to get home from there dull jobs just to conjour up irrelevant, boring negative ***** and back up your other dense minded chums whenever they spout drivel, you know who you all are too!

Apologies to the other 35% normal bfc fans.

Rant over, I await boo's heckles and abuse from the 65%, bring it on!

No in your post you've pre-empted that we are this year going to lose a further 1700 fans but how do you know this?
Look mate were all tarn fans but finding things to moan about for moaning sake is a bit toss int it?

My whole long winded point is instead of everyone constantly moaning why not try and find good in something or alternately don't post until theres something good worth posting?

Don't take Steve Hawkins to with that 1 out does it?

It doesn't take Steven Hawkins either to see the club is dying and most of Keith Hills signings are out of their depth in this league.

I'll give the club and Hill praise any day of the week when it's merited and thanks to Pompey we are in this league, apart from that I hold my baited breath waiting for these 5 championship standard players instead of being linked with a briclkayer who's netted 15 goals for Mansfield in the beer belly league or us putting in bids of 50 packets of pickled onion space raiders in for several players just to feed us poor sods some scraps of bull sh*t.

Rotherham have signed better players than the vast majority of Hills signings - and that says it all

Dekparker totally agree with you-also will away fans boycott Oakwell like last season

£28 to go to Oakwell for away fans...that will surely put quite a few off like it did last season

why cant they just charge 25 quid on the gate and have done??
if someone pays this 3 quid fee they can have a ticket for £25,but they have to buy the ticket at least 90 mins before kick off,why??....
why cant they , on the showing of this new membership card, just pay the 25 quid at the turnstyle.........there always seems to be some obstacle to overcome to get a cheaper ticket,
it wont affect me cause i've got my season ticket,,,,but they do seem to be making it hard work,,,its only 3 quid but it could be the difference between an empty seat or a seat with a arse on it..
the 3 quid membership is a snip and you get your money back after one match,but the 90 minute deadline??? it dunt make much sense

I have to reluctantly agree. I don't want to have a go at anyone but as I posted elsewhere there is seemingly always an 'obstacle' in the way. Some folk may see it as moaning but from a personal point of view it is generally not convenient for me to get to Oakwell before 1.30pm as I don't live in Barnsley, or park anywhere near the ground. If you've got the membership card you don't want to then pay £28 so you might not go.

It's a fine line for a fair few people whether they go or not, for a variety of reasons, so the club needs to try, where possible, to tip those people onto the 'decide to attend' side.

I've got an idea lets charge 30p like Bradford do and get it filled every week then in 3 years time when there's an asda on ground let's all meet up and talk about when we used to watch Barnsley play at oakwell.

There's no reasoning with most of your if someone says black your say ******* white!

Have you not thought that club are doing what they believe is there best, obviously half of you have run football clubs haven't you?

Most on here couldn't run a fecking bath!

To be truthful I think they are what's known in the game as pissing with the pr1cks they have got. I think there PR could be far better and there connections to fans could be better too.
As for player dealings I think unfortunately we as a club are always going to get bent over a barrel. As for players on short contracts it's a catch 22, if we stick them on a 3 year deal and there ***** we've wasted precious money we haven't got and when we do find a good'un we get our pockets picked.

I've never put out a fire either but if the fire brigade turned up to a house fire and started spraying petrol through the windows i'd tell them that they were doing it wrong.

Burnley have a similar membership scheme and discount. Funnily enough they tried a cat season ticket price previous to that which was a disaster. Maybe we're about 3 years behind them, in which case, we're due for promotion this season!!
