    Not unless he is planning on signing another 7-8 from there or others that have played there in the past!
    Mate there is a big difference between buying 1 player from a lower league club and filling a squad with them, which is something Fergie would never do!

    No he has not. I cant remember a year that Everton signed 7-8 from the lower leagues and played them every week. They would be murdered.
    Any team can stand a couple, but to fill a team with untried gambles is suicide as we very nearly found out last season. I have no qualms at all with buying players from lower leagues or non-league, we have done it every since I started watching Barnsley in the 60`s, but we always brought them into the team slowly, not 6/7 at once which is what happened last season.

    Not all in the same season though have they?
    That is what I am saying and I have written it several times!
    He has not brought them all in at the same time, one or two a year. which is perfectly acceptable, which is what I have stated all along, but you seem to be seeing something else in my posts!!

    Your name is very apt as every post you subject us to truly is a nightmare.

    Being very generous and counting Jagielka as a lower league player at that time, by my reckoning that makes two with Cahill. Alongside other players such as Neville, Howard and Gibson signed from Man Utd.
