Is he the best a 'Big' club like Liverpool can do? Im not saying Rogers isn't a good manager but fck me surely Liverpool can attract a more experianced top flight manager
I agree. I also think it would be a huge mistake for Rogers to go to Liverpool, especially with the intent Swansea are showing with the signings they've made
depends how you judge the big 4? they are still the 2nd biggest club in england in terms of honours. be a bit like Man Utd, if they ever get it right again at Liverpool then they could return to the top of the football pyramid.
I think if Liverpool want to make genuine progress they need to look at 3 things: What happened at Swansea Brendan Rodgers management career Paulo Sousa management career Both Brendan Rodgers and Paulo Sousa did an excellent job at Swansea, but both have been at other clubs and been utterly dreadful. They both inherited a squad at Swansea that had been assembled and coached to play in a certain way. The person who was responsible for all of the ground work was Roberto Martinez. Swansea's real success in my opinion was their transformation from a powerful team under Kenny Jackett (just like Millwall are now), to the excellent passing team they are now. Obviously, Brendan Rodgers Chelsea connections helped them to actually reach the Premier League with a few signings they otherwise wouldn't have attracted - but Martinez was the person that changed the style and fortunes of the club as a whole.
2nd biggest club based on history, will be for years to come. They could drop down a division for 10 years and still be considered the 2nd biggest club in terms of honours they won that much through the 70s/80s
Re: It's about where you're going, not where you've been. Another season in the second tier of football, hopefully!
