yeah but if he raped my daughter/wife he wouldnt come back to this area would he. i wouldnt want us to sign him in all honesty but the man does deserve a 2nd chance in life
You say he deserves a second chance. He has probably emotionally scarred someone for life now but not to worry. Also he has shown a great deal of remorse for his crime hasnt he? (cant think why the girlfriend of Evans is maintaining he is innocent but good to see she is standing by her millionaire boyfriend)
please dont make the girl out to be miss innocent. if she was my daughter id be questioning why she went off with a man (evans mate) she didnt even know to go to an hotel. i dont for one minute think she deserves what happened but she knew the dangers she placed herself in
It is a tough one no doubt but i think the debate here is not whether or not someone deserves a second chance in general, it's if football wants to have this kind of character within it and associated with it. Let's not forget these players are in a position to influence the behaviour of kids and everything they do is publicised widely (rightly or wrongly). Also, most firms ask on application forms for criminal records and carry out CRB checks and the results of these influence whether or not someone gets a job (even as a warehouse operative). I know I wouldn't employ a convicted murderer or rapist, others perhaps would? The suggestion and debate here is perhaps whether football should go down the same route as other occupations like doctors etc and take a moral stand, boxing does. My opinion is yes, but understand others may think otherwise.
Are we in the 1930's? She might have put herself in that position, it does not mean that the rape is less bad. She didn't consent to sex with Evans, therefore it's rape.
i agree with some of what you put but you cant just discrimainate against footballers can you? it would start a precedent were a lot of other things would be brought up, like sacking Joey barton from the proffesion, it just cant be done. Lee Hughes came out and has picked up his footballing career so have many others in the past so i believe Evans should be allowed to do the same.
She was so pissed she didnt know if she had consented or not, like i have said i dont condone what Evans did but she isnt the innocent victim your trying to make out, cheap drunk tart is how id put it. She wanted it and she got it, rightly or wrongly.
That's fine, that's what life is about - opinions! I just think that perhaps if the lads also knew they could lose their multi million pound careers they might just think twice about some of the things they do, there are a minority of footballers who think they are untouchable and I just think that the game as a whole and its future would be better off without them.
You vile disgusting poor excuse for a human being. You don't learn do you whatever username you're calling yourself this week until you get banned ....... again "She wanted it and she got it" - that is the worse thing I have read on this board
Listen love i apologised for the crude remark and i admit i over stepped the line, my 'twisted warped simple little mind' seems to do me just fine in the real world though!
