I do not advocate it, but can anyone perhaps tell me why he isn't getting a thread a day criticizing him for "taking the piss" and not signing his new deal? Can anyone please tell me why Vaz Te didn't get the same treatment also?
I am slightly confused is all.

I think he'll sign - he seems quite settled

I spoke to him yesterday, and he said "not yet pal, but soon, soon though.."
But my point was, why isn't he getting the same grief dished out to him ala a certain other out of contract midfielder?

Thats it Jim will talk about it to people who meet him like you and papers.

Jacob Butterfield seems to think he doesn't need to talk about to anyone including the club thats made him maybe into a millionaire at 21.

Not sure how others think but people like me who've been watching him for 5 years now, i feel like he's **** on the club big style.

Not sure Andy to be honest mate - think our Jacob has had his agent twittering in his ear! He will turn into a Howard / hammill type player - not fulfilling his potential!

Maybe because Jimbo has said he'll sign, and I hope he keeps his word.

Maybe Butterfield is aware of past 'big move' failures, and is considering not going?

    Probably not, but oh well

Erm, he hasn't actually left and not signed yet. So how has he **** on the club? And was he shitting on the club when he got crocked twice by Leeds, whilst wearing a red shirt? Did he not try and carry on in that game too, before he realised the knee had gone? ****in' loyalty. I really don't see what he has done that is so wrong in so many eyes. It seems I am in a minority too, which worries me. And Hemsworth, get a grip on reality lad. Jake was earning around £1000 per week last season, so where do you get that he's a millionaire from????
Oh, and I have also watched him for 5 years, and I think that makes him a longer servant to the club than bloody Vaz Te, or Jim O'Brien, who have not got the same grief. Hypocrites unite on the BBS.

He shouldn't have carried on Whitey, If he was injured come off.
Ok but i would guess at is next contract will make him a lot of money and so be it.
He's been at the club longer than any player apart from hassell i think.
Vazte, O'brien don't have the club at heart. Maybe i thought he did.

I'm not sure that its as simple has just comparing Jim Bob with Butterfield as the circumstances are different but that's just my humble opinion.

JOB contract runs out tomorrow doesn`t it? I think everyones resigned to Butterfield leaving so that means he`s fair game. Whilst a lot want Jim to get signed back up so keeping their powder dry until he possibly goes elsewhere then he`ll get it with both barrels.

J.O.B: Always talks up the town, our club and has said numerous times he's happy here and wants to stay here.

Buttercup: His silence is defening to the fans.

The majority on here did not appreciate Butterfield when he was playing football of a different quality to the rest of the team, and basically keeping us in a league position beyond their collective capabilities.

    Head and brick wall mate

But if ya want to encapsulate it in one word, that seems to transcend even their loyalty to their own club, then I think you might agree:

    JEALOUSY
