“When he first joined us in January, his initial impact was superb" ffs...if that is superb keefy we are fekked! hth
I was just thinking to myself along similar lines; where was this superb impact? Probably in training, cos thats all that matters.
You got to quote it before me there reev. What a strange comment for Hill to make. Dagnall hopefully realises what a privilage it is to play at our level and starts repaying the faith in the manager for bringing him here.
we keep getting told how good they are on a training pitch and that the hard work is been put in,,,it just hasnt transfered onto the pitch....big season ahead keefy,,our town our team,YOUR team mr Hill, fingers crossed for yer,no excuses....lets have some impact..
Superb impact initially? Really? Wow, Keith is easily impressed. He was dogshit. And, even worse, TWO divisions below. And they wonder why we are losing 1,500 fans again....
Comments like this will mean any open meeting on the horizon will have Hill facing some awkward questions. Latest Gally?
He hasn't got the ability to improve to a level that is good enough for this level of football. Get shut. Hope he proves me wrong like but can't see it.
i only wish the best for my club but after many years watching skill is the most important asset any fgootballer can posses, summer fitness regimes, training ground tactics are all very well, dead ball situations can be practised but without the skill to bend a ball or place the ball in an area where you want it you must have skill. i sincerly believe that dagnall skill as a striker is more than questionable and lets not forget he as 2 years on his contract left. After Andy Gray served a along contract on good money does nobody learn. I know that this should have been done for Vaz Tae but he was a one off situation how many people thought after seejng his first couple of matches he would turn into the fine player he is now , Daggnal will never have this skill no matter how much fitness trainiong he does and will never aspire to be a championship player
I like the way you have expressed yourself here Whitey, lol. I didn’t see any evidence of him being a championship quality player last season but I am all for giving players a chance before they get wrote off. I hope Dagnall proves Keef right and us wrong, nothing would please me more than coming on here to apologise to Hill and say 'you were right all along' but I'm not confident that it will work out like this.
Agreed. I doff my 'dunce' cap to you before placing it back on my head and standing in the corner for the rest of class
I forgot to add my usual disclaimer. *I reserve the right to say that Dagnall was always a fantastic acquisition, should he next season deliver the goods/goals. Same goes for the only other player I ever criticize going by the name of Wiseman. I hate to be critical of our players, but those two are clearly playing at least 3 divisions above their natural level. Or, at least they appeared to be, last season, But maybe they'll come good - hence my disclaimer, and then my praise. I will always support them though whilst at Oakwell for 90+ minutes. Even when playing like an imbecile wearing filip-flops.
And to further add weight to my fantastic insight into a footballers ability, may I remind everybody that I never wanted Ricardo Vaz Te to sign. I said so at the time, frequently. I then spent the first couple of months of the season ridiculing his inept abilities. So as you can gather no doubt, I am awesome at spotting talent. On a serious note, I hope messrs Dagnall and Wiseman prove me and the majority of tarn supporters wrong in the coming years.
