Re: I wonder what size bid offers we have made for these players we are no longer in Keith's budget hasn't been reduced by 700K. I'm amazed you seem to think that there are queues of people wanting to "invest" in small championship football clubs. This is because it isn't an investment. This sort of "investment" is usually a rich fan chucking a shed load of their hard earned cash down a bloody great financial hole, like Mr Cryne has and often only having a tonne of personal abuse and a significantly smaller bank account to show for it. There tend to be better investments out there. So what fans do we have with the sort of cash necessary to regularly pump million in each season because that's what we are taking about? I'm not sure there are too many of those around Barnsley.
Club wants rid of their captain and fans favourite? You should have read the post on their Northstand chat. The bid for Greer was embarrassing to say the least.
Re: I wonder what size bid offers we have made for these players we are no longer in I take it from that, that we've actually been pro active in searching for investment rather than waiting for it to fall on our lap....Otherwise nobody knows for sure if people want to invest in us or not. I didn't say Keith's budget fella, I just said "the budget" meaning that of the club. I just wondered how much of the loss of TV revenue was tried to be recouped through trying to get more advertisers involved
