seriously. a workmate has brought a few in and says the are from a little butchers up Jump. Anyone know which he means? Everything was spot on about what a pork pie to me should be. Just the right amount of crust thickness and texture and also no slacking on the meat content and flavour and also the consistency of the jelly not too watery and not too solid. pork pie perfection.
It can only be Percy Turners,they make em' in the back of the shop,there's always a queue outside the door.
The best I've had in the last few years was from the Rob Royd farm shop. I think it was Jay that endorsed them on here and he was right - absolutely delicious.
