    i was quite happy.
Not always the best to watch but its better to try and out score other team.
Defence looks ok apart from johnson who made me shout out loud at tv. Im ok with players having a weakness and england have done something about that with milner but in attack he kept loseing ball in attack.

Think the day was too big for the ox after he miss it that shot which hit both feet.

Thought attack looks ok, not everyone does but i like welbeck. Hes not yhe target man thay carroll is and hes not the fox in the box of defoe. hes in between, hes a hybrid and what a lovely finish.

I thought we looked very solid, can't see us letting many in. Wellbeck took his goal very well. Not over many good chances in the game. Thought Rooney was poor when he came on. Gerrard and Parker had decent games, as did Young, and I thought Ox was ok, he was bound to be a bit nervous.

Well organised - two banks of four and they defended well - big gap between midfield and front two in the second half which left the attackers too isolated . Impressed with Wellbeck - took his goal well and he worked well with young

Cant see us conceding many in the Euro's, as we look quite solid at the back and in the centre of midfield but the main problem is going to be scoring goals even with Rooney. As long as we are difficult to beat and dont get embaressed again like we did in South Africa against Germany then im happy. All part of the rebuilding.

I like the look of Young as the 10. With Welbeck, Ox and maybe Walcott in the side we have some great pace for the quick break. The injuries at the back don't concern me either as I think Jagielka and Lescott are superb together.

I'm really surprised by how positive everyone seems,I've only seen 20 mins of the 2nd half, but Belgium looked like a team likely to score, and England looked as though we couldn't string more than 3 passes together, often giving it away with the first one.

Can't see us scoring against the better sides and they will cause us more problems and put the defence under pressure. Looks like we're going in the right direction from the half an hour I watched.

Not many teams will have a better defence than them mario.
I think scoring will be fine.
Welbeck had one chance and he put it away.

France do have priblems at the centre of their defence.

We looked solid but the better teams like Spain, Germany and Holland will put us under a lot more pressure.

i will take 1-0 wins all the time, we have to start getting a bit of pride in winning for the nation, something we havent seemed to have since 1996

    Solid, if uninspiring

The real test comes in just over a week. At this moment, I'd say England will do well to qualify for the quarter finals stage.

    Re: Solid, if uninspiring

Wasn't exciting but we were solid at the back. Clean sheets are king, so i'll take a 1-0 win every single time no matter how dull the football was.
