    Well iPad really.
Someone who I knows does a football competition where you pick four teams out of each league. After every game the totals from these teams are added up to form a league table. At the end of the season prizes are paid out from the end positions.
He's not doing it this season and I was thinking of taking over. He used to do the results manually, I was wondering if there's a programme I can use to make it easier. Thanks.

Be easy enough with an Excel Spreadsheet. Did a similar thing myself a few years ago. We predicted top three and bottom three from each division. Points were awarded relative to position e.g. If you picked a team for top of the championship and they were 6th, you got 6 points. If you picked a team for bottom and they were 6th you got 19 points. Lowest points scorer overall was top of the table. Just used a series of look-up tables and macros to look-up the team in the league table and award the points relative to their position. All I did was download the league table from the same website every week, click on a macro button and the spreadsheet did the rest.

Excel is a Microsoft product so I doubt it but I would have thought that Apple would have an equivalent spreadsheet application which would be able to do the same job. Is the I-Pad the only option? I could dig out that Excel spreadsheet when I'm back at work tomorrow and e-mail it to you.

Use Google Docs web based apps. They have spreadsheets, document and presentation apps. They're now part of Google Drive.
All docs / spreadsheets can be shared out so others can see. I use em for doing work lottery syndicate. In fact works just dumped Microsoft Exchange and were moving to google (email and apps).
