If you want decent reading material I'd stay away from football related books! Try the Girl With The Dragon Tattoo trilogy.

The obvious one is Life At The Top by Mark Hodkinson. I read recently and got a bit emotional.

On a different subject but have you read "kyriakos" not sure if thats the proper spelling,it's the true story of wombwell born ernest chapman (whom i had the pleasure of working with for a while (as a boy). Who escaped a nazi prison camp in greece and joined the partisans. Really is a good read and beggars belief how this story took so long to surface and why he didn't get an honour highly recommended for a tarner on holiday
