    Greedy agent, immature and zero loyalty. I just can't see him here next season and if he is will it be because he wants to be or because no other club came in.

    Being out injured for 6 months, with something that's ended so many playing careers, will have just about made up the lads mind to move asap, to the club offering him the highest wage, if he ever thought about turning money down to play first team football, his mind will have changed by now i should think, get the brass wile he can your a long time retired when your a footballer

    Anyone at his age in their career and on the high-point where he has been this season would be daft not to take their chances elsewhere, if the right deal came through. I don't see it as greed, nor disloyalty. After the Brown-induced injury, he could have been looking either at end of career, or a very limited one. I would love him to stay. Maybe the talk about Newcastle, Villa, Southampton etc has all been agent-induced media-hype. Who knows at this stage? We will soon know.

    Buttercup will look at it like we've gave a 12 month contract to a guy who's played for 10 teams in 7 different countries journeyman. This signing is good for us but won't stop him signing elsewhere for lots more money.

    I think Keith is spending the £ that the club expect to achieve via tribunal as I hear that a deal has alredy been arranged with Newcastle United for Butts...

    I'm not one for believing my mates 'rumours' but can't see how we have got this new found £ otherwise?!
