That's why I'm glad we've only offered him a 12 month contract but I can see this site imploding if he turns out to do a vaz te

 

Hopefully we will have learnt from that though, and not let him go for peanuts in January if he does a Vaz Te

 

I'd be very impressed with his signing if it comes off. Sure it's a bit of a gamble but it's one we have to take to afford the kind of quality he possesses. Take a look on Youtube at some of the goals he has scored.....wow.

Thats just what I thought on hearing this.

Hope we get a good playmaker or he`ll be up front counting the blades of grass whilst waiting for one or two chances we create.

Could put a few bums on seats but could also waste an opportunity for progressing one of the youngsters. Cheap on wages and only a year to pay we`ve had more expensive flops if thats what happens.

 

Agree, with the right service he could be a top striker in this league. If we get him it will show that Hill is bringing in the right type of players.

 

Needs others of quality, that will perform and then show us what he said, that last season was a learning curve for him, and not just more waffle to deflect his own shortcomings.

Disapointed it's going to be a one year deal as when he knocks in ten before xmas we could end up with another Vaz Te situation. Yeah it's got the option of another year, but that doesn't mean he will sign it.

 

I thought that meant if we offer him another year, he has to sign it? could be wrong though.

Can't see that being the case. Modern contracts tend to benefit the player rather than the club.

But he can do, for at the end of the season his contracrs kaput, and he can walk. So £500K is better than nowt.
