There seems to be quite a few people wanting them over there.

Get his number sorted out too, seems like they want to know that as well!!

    Brilliant signing!

    I'm sure we will!!

I think the home, away and maybe 3rd shirt details are being released tomorrow on the official club website, so keep an eye out!

I think he was referring to the 'black market'.

The thing is, any fakes that pop up (Imagine that eh, a fake Barnsley shirt!!!) will probably cost more than the real thing over there. I was in Sharm El Sheikh in 2009 and was trying like mad to get an Egypt national shirt. There was a plethora of fakes doing the rounds, coming in at nearly £60! I managed to find an official PUMA shop and bought the real thing for £30.

Get some shirts sent over to the various Nike outlets.

Do we really think there will be a 3rd shirt??

Even one for the FA Cup (like 2008) would be a bit cheeky.

If had a choice, I'd have away white, and a third yellow

Who don't get the proceeds from the club shop so it doesn't make a difference to our finances. Maybe the club could come up with something else?

Mido's wedding in Egypt was the biggest reality tv show on their screens in terms of viewing figures, he's seen as some sort of Egyptian prince strangely.

That's not quite true. I asked Don Rowing at a supporters trust meeting what would happen if club shop/shirt sales increased dramatically e.g. if we were promoted to the premiership and he said the contract with JustSport meant they would see a cut off the increase in sales.

It would still be up to JustSport to drive shirt sales to Egypt I guess.

Probably not going to happen then, which is a shame.

If he's seen as some kind of prince then its obvious that some people (like the ones on BFC facebook) will want to buy his shirt cause of him, not who he plays for.

Just thought it would be a good idea to spread the word the Mido is at BFC and get some shirts sent over there

Agreed. Plain red t shirt with a black mosiac style picture of the head of Mido on as we have in the past. On the back his name and squad number once that is sorted, plus an Egyptian badge on each sleeve to pander to his homeland with a bit of cheesy marketing. Nevermind his natives, i'd be buying one of that myself :)

The marketing bigwigs at Oakwell need to get their thinking Fez's on IMO.

There's money out there to be had. And I'm talking Cairo, not Giro..

They do. Any opportunity to spread the word of our club, and to shift some products makes a lot of sense
