Under 21 international squad. Would've been sold for a couple of million in Jan. Or scored double figures if not. Captain. Ar, he's ****. If we were linked with him and he was at another club folk would be creaming the-sens.
I'd love him to stay, no matter the reasons. And so would any right-minded BFC fan that attended every game he played in last season. King Keith built a side around him, and for 4 months he was pivotal to what we achieved. I watched Player yesterday, the video of all our goals last season. And it's scary just how reliant we were on Jacob until Ricardo started to shine, and even then, he set up Vaz for his early goals... If he does sign back on with us, I hope he keeps the armband, plays out of his skin again, and earns his big money move to the Greed League. Because that would mean we'd be set up nicely come January - in the table, and financially. Fingers crossed and all that.
lets have another Buttercup thread..... as i don't think we have had quite enough yet. hope this helps up the number of Buttercup threads
Re: More likely Pretty much sums up my thoughts as I said above. Confusingly, Whitey has liked this post but given me a STFU. Ah well.
I think it'd be great news were he to re sign Hopefully he does, but I can't see it happening, unfortunately.
Re: I think it'd be great news were he to re sign 2 year contract and then sell him to the highest bidder if he gets back to his best.
Re: I think it'd be great news were he to re sign If he comes back he will be doing what I do every morning before my bath. Going through the motions.
IF, and it's a big if he were to sign again... I imagine it'd a one year contract with release clauses galore.
The longer it goes on the more liable it is that he will re-sign, and probably on a 2 year deal. Not really surprising either given the lack of concrete news about him going anywhere else. I think his last tweet said much about his intentions, but that might be reading too much into it...</SPAN></SPAN> What I can’t understand why some people have taken Butterfield’s actions so personally. He’s a young lad and he’d have to be a bit daft not to have his head turned by bigger clubs mentioning his name and talking about signing him. Most players want to test themselves and play at the highest level, that doesn’t mean he loves Barnsley any less even if he has made a few mistakes in handling what has gone off. </SPAN></SPAN> I don’t care why he re-signs, but if he does it would be brilliant news and if he bangs in a few goals and play like last season I cant imagine the ‘spite my nose brigade’ complaining that he’s still in a Reds shirt.</SPAN></SPAN>

Re: I think it'd be great news were he to re sign Doubt it - defeats the object of signing with us. Goes through the motions, doesn't play well, doesn't get signed up, ends up on the scrap heap.
Re: I think it'd be great news were he to re sign Why would he do that? If he's seriously considering turning down offers elsewhere, to sign back on with us, why do you think he'd just toss it off? He maybe hasn't got the calibre of club he was hoping for, and as King Keith himself said, he perhaps sees signing with us and sticking with what he knows as a way of getting THAT calibre of club interested, come January....? Or maybe it doesn't matter because in my opinion I can't see him staying. Hope he does like, for our sake.
Re: I think it'd be great news were he to re sign I think if any club in the Championship came in for him bar Peterborough, Watford and a couple of others then he would be off. I'd be interested to know if anyone had come in for him though and if/why he turned them down.
Re: I think it'd be great news were he to re sign I suppose we'll never know... But are you telling me mate, that if he stayed here that it wouldn't be a good thing for us?
