Summary met with a player today who wants too much money, Oliver Norwood still a target, again wants too much money, our valuation doesnt match his/Uniteds, Butterfields agent is talking to anyone who will talk to him including Championship clubs, nothing sorted and its holding the club back as we dont know where we stand financially cos of it.
could be, he spoke very highly of him. Mentioned he was comfortable in a 2 man midfield pairing or a 3 man. Would be a replacement for Butterfield I guess we are waiting to see if we can match his terms if Butterfield is going.
Might sound crazy, but I wouldn't be that bothered if Butterfield left. Thinks he's hyped up to be better than he actually is. Don't think he's even top 6 Championship quality.
Not for much longer with contracts running out this coming weekend. But isn't there a rule where if someone out of contract isn't yet fixed up with another club you still have to 'pay' them for upto another month unless their circumstances change....
"What we are able to do in the market will be dictated by the decision Jacob makes" ie he's holding the club back. Just that.
He's better than anything we've got. And have had in a while. He's a player, not a grafter. That's why people don't like him.
Why hasnt he been snapped up then? Hill is intimating that there isnt a queue, that he's being bullshitted along by his agent and the only clubs interested are in the same Division as us, so if he moves then its purely about money not "the chance to play in the Premiership". Leeds.
Yep, definitely a risk. But if we were looking to sign a player from Peterborough that had been out for the year but before that had been picked for the U21 squad, scored 1 goal in 5 from midfield (majority screamers), can pass with left foot and right foot and there was talk of a move to Prem for a couple of million we'd all be creaming ourselves. Stay with us for twelve months, prove he's still got it and then leave.
