    Its no wonder that they are hated throughout Yorkshire with supporters like they have. The only thing that got me through the turblent 12 hour flight back from Vegas was laughing hysterically at my Wendy supporting mate who was telling me all the players they were certain to sign. Everyone from Butterfield and Steele to Kevin Doyle, Shane Long and Michael Owen. Instead they signed the worlds most injury prone goalkeeper and a centre forward even the Derby supporters havn't heard of.

    Oh and they are going to win the league at a canter. Allegedly.

    One promotion from league 1 and the stripey lovely personts are back giving it the big un',big club my arse,they have done fook all for 20 years,can't fookin' stand 'em .they are all fookin' melts anyway.

    They aren't bothered and don't care about us apparently, only United they care about. Yet in their supporters poll we were voted their 2nd rival behind United and that threads had that many bites the OP's can't get enough bait on his hook.

    On the face of it, Owls do have a good following................BUT if support is expressed as a % per capita we get:-

    Barnsley - population of 74K and average attendance of 10.3K => 14% support base
    Sheffield - population of 555K and average attendance of 21.3 => 4% support base

    Of course you could argue that with two teams in Sheffield, we should calculate on 50% of population (227.5K), which would still only be ~9% support base.

    OWLS ARE OFFICIALLY NOT MASSIVE AND REDS DO ACTUALLY VERY WELL (in support terms) FOR A SMALL TOWN

    I knew they were deluded but l didn't know how much. There was a thread on there saying Hillsborough is one of the best grounds in the country, seriously, did the clocks stop down Pensitone Road in 1993? Are they all driving around in a DeLorean down there?

    For the record:

    1 major trophy in the last 78 years.
    Last stand built in 1965.
