Its great. You need to 'follow' people now - Either people you know or people you share interests with ect.... Once you start following you will soon get some followers back!!
From my experience Tell everyone what you're watching on telly at the moment. Be very nasty. And you'll fit in a treat. The idea is you 'follow' people. Search for friends/journalists/football clubs/famous people, follow them and everything they say will appear on your home page. The people you follow will be made aware of it and they might follow you back, so they can read what you say. That's pretty much all there is to it.
Good if you want to find out info about BFC. that was my initial reason for joining and still my main reason for keeping it I really reduced the amount of people I follow. e.g barrie Mcdermott was funny at first but then just started to annoy the **** out of me just search eg Rob staton and click follow

Exactly It's supposed to be this amazing world changing application but if you look what is trending at any given time half of the stuff is what happens to be on telly at the moment. It's alright I suppose. I use it to keep up to date with bands I like, for gigs and that. But there are a lot of people who are just horrible on it. Love your example though.

Set a 2nd account up to follow pornstars, people who post mucky pictures and expensive escort girls. For wnaking purposes.
Re: Exactly I'm on it. Like you say, follow a few bands, journalists and fowk I find funny. Very few 'celebs' or ****s who say 'follow me back'.
Re: Exactly I've been on it years. I've made a grand total of 11 Tweets. All but 2 of which have been direct messages to people. And I have an astounding 7 followers. 3 of which I have no idea who they are. Christ knows why they are following me. I'm the saddest bloke on there. It's official.
Re: From my experience Some (more famous) people have a blue checkmark next to their name, it means that their account is verified by twitter.
