The best team won. But (from a neutral point of view) it's a pity the German goal didn't come ten minutes earlier, to set up a real grandstand finish.

Do you think the English press went OTT over Pirlo and why they couldn't stop him BigLil? when it showed its harder than it looks tonight.

    Not really

Pirlo is a classy player and has the ability to control a game at the highest level. I love watching players like him, they always seem to have time and space on the ball. It's never easy to close such a player down, but you have to, at least, try. England didn't and Pirlo controlled the game. Germany did and Pirlo STILL controlled the game!
It's all set up for a very interesting final on Sunday.

    The last time we signed

Such a high profile player on a permanent deal, most of today's fans hadn't even been born. If the manager can get the best out of him, we've got a top class striker on our hands.

I too enjoyed it, I've enjoyed this Euro more than usual, seems to be a good level of competition.

Hopefully Italy can beat Spain and that will see the end of this tippy-tappy nonsense. It bores me to death.

England leave the competition unbeaten having got a draw against the Italian side that dumped out the side that looked the best before last night.
