Whilst not international players, McNulty and Buttferfield are laikers. They make mistakes, play into trouble sometimes but they're the types of players we should appreciate and I enjoy watching em. Workaholic nasty ba$tards are ten a penny, we've got 2 in our midfield for example. So let's get off their backs and get behind em.

Or we can continue shouting 'get shut' every week and then complain when our players can't play proper football.

We're English. We like players who run round a lot and look as though they've put a shift in. People who can pass and dribble-especially when it goes wrong- are luxury players. Get shut.

Everyone as there opinion on players, and like everything in life opinions differ, if everyone liked the same things the world would just not work, although if they pay there money and watch the players there entitled to there opinion,
as it goes i like jimmy mac and butterfield but then again i liked Doyle aswell and got loads of stick for it but i watched him and formed a opinion and that was that i thought he was a very good player

Never said they're not. But those slating em will no doubt have slated the England team this Summer.

Doyle just kicked people right hard.

Luxury players are perceived luxury if the manager ain't got a clue how to play them.

Dyson, the thread with Mcnulty was dreamys ridiculous assumption we'd get at least £1mill prob £1.5mill for him.
Not that most wanted rid, I think he can learn, but be honest, at those prices you'd drive him there.

It's sad really. We seem to produce an almost endless succession of players who fit an unfortunate stereotype - the hard-hitting aerially dominant (but immobile and can't pass wind) centre back, the tough tackling (but limited, one-footed and one dimensional) holding midfielder, the 'creative' midfielder who is only distinguishable from the 'holding' midfielder by the fact that he plays for a bigger club and sometimes takes freekicks (and whose predicatble right to left crossfield ball can be read by a five year old)...

No wonder we've struggled in the big games so much. English players are, in the main, pretty **** really.

Your not at it aswell are you.

BTW, did you hear Martin Allen AKA MAd DOG on Talksport last night?

He said that Matt had to move to a big club to prove he was a top top player. Said you can't say he's top because he never proved it with a team near the top.

Also spoke about David Beckham and taking a fan in to the technical area to show them what its like in there.

Sounded a real nice guy. Was on with Andy Goldstein on sports bar on talksport.

Power and pace is the way to go eg welbeck.

Would love a Gazza or a pirlo or a pigsticker type player in towns midfield. Ideally all three.

All pirlo does is little passes, personally i'm fine with that but some of you (or them where i sit) have an heart attack every time you pass back or sideways.

HE will take another 1/ 1 1/2 season to establish is self but Digbys a very good passer in the deep role. Take him time to complete the passing range but he very good at it.

Parker's good at what he does, as is Barry. The unfortunate thing is what they do is so far out of date it's embarrassing. It's like the other major footballing countries are all playing with blu-ray, and we're chuffed that we've got a decent Betamax VCR.
