Well done Andy Murray, shame about the British/Scots thingy though.

Hope he gets through and wins Wimbledon. Sadly there is a downside kinda. Its not just the Scots either. The Irish and Welsh also do it. I think its fair to say that the majority of English will back all British representatives in whatever field they turn out onto to represent our nation. The attitude of "I support 2 teams" - "Wales/Ireland/Scotland and any team that plays England" is quite frankly sad. We all stood together in many wars/campaigns/conflicts. I cannot see why its different in sport.OK when it comes to the six nations and the old home internationals then fair enough, when a Brit team plays a Brit team . But otherwise no. There is bitterness between the home nations due to things that happened down the years , this was mainly politics, religion and greed. But the rank and file of all our home nations are just the same really, we just have different accents. Strangely though in a global media of music this does not seem to happen, we appreciate/love/idolise our musicians no matter what part of the UK they come from.So why not in sport. I remember being thrilled by the Curling Gals winning in the commonwealth games, cheering on our golfers, and other such stuff . I just wish we could be Great Britain again , thats all. SO Good luck Andy Murray from a fellow Brit.....and yes I am English.

I've always said, regarding World Cup/Euro's, I'd love to see all home nations qualify and see Britain as a whole competing. I'm looking at travelling down to Wembley for England vs. Scotland next year and I couldn't care less who wins, just want to see a well contested derby between the old "enemies"

Totally. Living up here has made me more anti Scottish than ever. Watching England in the bars here is never dull.

Do you keep a low profile, or let it be known you're English?

I don't go out of my way to shout out the fact I am english. But I also don't hold back when we have something to celebrate. There's a group of us that get together to watch the games. Safety in numbers and all that. The hardest thing is getting used to the cheers from the Scots when anyone playing against us scores.
