I'll go with Jim O'Brien because he's one of our best players, shows a lot of passion and commitment and is very vocal.

Although you don't tend to give captaincy to a winger :(

Mcnulty will be captain this season imo simply because we've no natural captain at the club unless he signs one meanwhile.

There was me thinking it was a free society, one where everyone could express there own opinion, yet it seems I am mistaken and i must conform to the ballox inflicted on me by others!

Well Keef wants 11 captains out there so they all will be.

They can have a toss off int changing rooms to see who calls the toss on the pitch.

Based on the current crop, i'd say Dawson. But I hope we're gonna sign a commanding centre half, so he can do it if he likes. Got a feeling the central midfield pairing will change around a lot this season, Dawson, Perkins, Mellis, Digby and we seem to be trying to sign another one.

Perkins is a footballer of very limited ability. Yes he runs around but so ****ing what. If that's all someone needs to be a good player then we might as well all become professionals. He is not a particularly strong tackle, he is poor on the ball, can't beat a man and is unable to play a through ball, and never bombs down the wing before putting in a great cross. Dawson is much the same.

If you have access to Player, then I suggest you look at the compilation video they put together of all our goals last season - Perkins was involved in a lot more than even I remembered, and you know how much I love him.

I don't think he's a quality footballer as such. But he has many good footballing qualities. He covers every blade of grass, and is no doubt a nuisance to the opposition. He won more tackles than anybody else last season, despite missing long periods. He won more aerial balls than his height should allow, way more than 6ft Scott Wiseman for example. He assisted/was part of a lot more of our goals than some of our 'supposed' better 'footballers'. And in my time perusing the forums of our opponents last term, he was usually the one player that they picked out as our key player. Many suggested he was the 'type' of player that they were lacking.

I do however believe, that he's irrelevant as a player, if we have nobody with skill/flair ahead of/around him.

Jacob Butterfield was a fantastic player for us when fit last season, but without a Perkins/Danny Drinkwater behind him, he'd have struggled to make the same impact.

All I have said is IMO. Obviously.
