    I like Keith Treacy. Good to see the 8k a week Buttercup turned down will be used towards this type of player.

    If Wednesday are interest, which I believe they are, it'll take more than 8k a week. Another dead end, probably. Thanks to Jacob, we'll be scrambling around for loan signings at the end of August.

    Butterfield wasn't going to sign for anyone until he got the all clear from the surgeon, which was only 7-10 days before he signed for Norwich.

    Aye, but don't let facts and common sense spoil others' need to chat ****.
    And the 8k a week you speak of Dreamy - you are way out.
    Why some on here keep harping on about Jacob I'll never know. As Keith says - we move on.
    The club have known for a long time that he was likely to leave, so I'm sure they planned ahead. And if not, nobody can blame Jacob, as he was happy to extend his contract last summer, the club declined.
    Football eh, it's a money old game.

    wasnt going to sign but his agent and probably him have had dialogue with clubs since January and we've been kept completely in the dark so no chance of avoiding a tribunal. The main reason we've not "splashed the cash" is because we have no idea how much we are going to get for him and wont until August. As regards wages, I'd guess there is a ceiling and an overall figure but again directly influenced by cashflow.

    So the Barnsley Chronicle were wrong? Or it might have been Star but at least one of them said Buttercup was on 2k a week and we offered to quadruple his wages to make him the highest earner.
