Am not bothered either way.........good player for us.........but then did the dirty by not having a kind word to say about Barnsley when he moved to one of our rivals.

However, if i was Brian Howard, and I was desperate to get back to Barnsley........then I'd find accomadation in the town for a couple of weeks and go down to the WELL to see Keith and ask him if he could train with the squad for a couple of weeks.
Its up to Brian to impress

If he's still good enough and the wage demands are ok then I'm sure Keith would consider signing him

Well according to a source close to MadMark he may already be out in Spain with the squad.

If a hybrid of rumours are to be believed then

    1) he is desperate to come back having contacted Flitcroft
    2) Hill doesn't think he fits the mould
    3) he would play for whatever was offered

While I would like him back, I agree with many that our key focus must be on a centre half.

I'm very well thank you. I like to keep my eye on what is happening on here and now and again like to add the odd thing! No gossip from me pal I've not really heard anything of any interest. Speak with Brian most days so I know where he is etc so just thought I'd put that rumour to bed that he was out in Spain with them!

    Hi Darren,

Has there been any contact between Brian and Keeflicker on a potential return? Or all rumour?

I've heard a rumor, we've held talks with him, and he wanted too much money.

    I think people are forgetting

That it's 4 years since he left. For me, in his final year at the club, he was average, caused a lot of unrest in the changing room, and only showed up in the big games (cup run). Before that, he was exceptional for us, but that's 5 and 6 years ago now, he's not going to be anywhere near as good as he was back then. I'd love to be proved wrong but I just can't see it.

So for me, it's no, I wouldn't have him back. Too many people thinking with their heart rather than their head.

Imo, i don't see Howard now as an improvement on either of them, more attacking, probably, but surely there's better options out there.

Howard is at least 4.2 times the footballer of both of them combined. He won't run around as much though.

Brian has not had any contact with them directly! He his a free transfer and is talking to many clubs at the moment. He would be more than interested in coming back to Oakwell. I belive his wages demands would not be a problem to the club but the manager is not interested in him.

It is pity as I believe in would be a great fit for both parties as I think we need a good attacking midfielder and also I think Brian would want and give his all at the club!

Personally though I do not think it will happen and I have a feeling he will come back to Oakwell to haunt us again as he did for reading when they played us!

I agree archey and I think we'll see a big improvement in Dawson this season.
The team's morale improved immensely once Howard moved on. He's past his sell by date now.

Ask him when he is going round 'Tarn' again to hide behind the bouncers when people call him names... little prat who i hope never wears the red of barnsley ever again.
