Just like any other football club. Do you think Dawson is here because he loves the club or because we're paying him more than Leyton Orient??

Suppose Donny were less attractive than us last season.

I can't see anyone being less attractive now with who went down, and who came up.

    Bang on.

They look past their nose ends.

Wonder if they have a '**** off kids' policy ?

From memory, they've flogged Mackail-Smith, McClean and Bennet for about 7 million quid. That's 14 Adam Hammill/Ricco's.

Chairman's on twitter, he's a bit of a lovely person but I wouldn't mind if he was here.

Why not just give the lad a hard hat and be done? The longer it goes on the worse it looks.

    O'Connor, Harewood and McShane

How on earth did we manage to persuade such high profile sought after players to our club

We must have been such an attractive club 1-2 years ago

How did we fend off such huge interest from a list of other clubs

Just look what they have gone on and achieved since.

    ffs

It's just embarrassing - the problem is in the Oakwell bubble they are all convinced that they are doing a fantastic job and everyone else is wrong.

For some reason I can't reply directly to site admin posts but this is a reply to anytyke.

All those players I mentioned above played in a team that performed far better than last season. We were far worse off without those players. Fact.

Basically, when we were linked to him he was just a lower league crap player, now Middlesbrough are close to signing him he's a good player?

When people put FACT after a post it's often just opinion.

But no one questioned if we were a better team or not, I thought the post was about how well we had done to attract such players in the past but can't now.

I didn't think those players took much attracting at the time they come to the club. they were all out of the team with very few options of first team football. Harewood had a choice between us and Sheff Utd. He didn't fancy the relegation battle.

I thought we did better last season to attract Drinkwater at the start of the season than any of those you mentioned.
