Not been named in the 30 man T20 World Cup squad, do you think the ECB are right to stand firm on this or should they bend the rule to allow arguably the best batsman in the world right now to play?

He made his bed and now he's to lie in it. Good on the ECB for showing KP that no one player is bigger than the country.

he will be a loss but if he really wanted to play in the 20/20 comp so much then why retire ? its not as if the world cup was another 10 years away

He didnt want to play in the ODI series against Australia and the ECB said the only way he would miss it would be if he retired, and if you retire from one form then you have to miss the other form of ODI's. Why the ECB cant come to a compromise and let him play T20's is beyond me, i reckon their only doing this to stop Anderson, Broad and Swann doing the same.

That is exactly why they are doing it, they have said it themselves, they didn't mention players by name but they said that they didn't want to set a precedent which meant other players could do the same. You are either available for short forms of cricket for England or you are not, simple really. They do right standing by the decision.
