    Anyone know of any boxing clubs in Barnsley ? Daughter wants to start. She's already a black belt in taekwando. Cheers

    Dodworth Miners Welfare Club, nice and near to Springvale - I can personally recommend the coaches there- The ABC Junior license is from aged 10.
    Word of caution: taekwando vs Boxing is like comparing tag rugby vs the 15 a side game, you need different attributes to be successful .... Boxing training is Full power, full contact against a fully resisting opponent .....

    Can't speak from experience but, I've heard it's a good set up at the 'Tappers'

    Yes ... I trained there for a couple of years just before they got their ABA affiliation .... no airs or graces, spit and sawdust for sure ... they have ABA coaches now, so definitely onwards and upwards ...
    IMHO ... if you want to know how to punch - go boxing
    .. if you want to know how to kick - go to muay thai
    ....if you want to know how to scrap - go grappling
