    They're either on a wind-up or their taste buds have been stripped out by too much chemical ***** masquerading as lager. Not worth trying to educate them, let them stay in their ***** pubs with their JSS and carling etc

    The choice of brews in is mind-blowing. No trip to the UK is complete without an all-dayer in there!

    I know that you're partial to new and interesting brews, I found a couple of humdingers in Ukraine, very surprising as Russian beer is generally pretty poor. Not sure where you would get hold of it in the UK, but try and seek out Bila Nich, a dark lager flavoured with coriander. Weird and wonderful!

    Gotta to admit I drink lager but don't mind the odd pint of real ale. Some cracking real ale pubs in Liverpool - one near us called pi - fantastic place. Lindeboom is a fantastic drink - kozel has a kick as well. Like the fruit beers as well - especially the cherry one.
    One of my favourite pubs is the king's head in Huddersfield train station - spit and saw dust but great beer

    Used to be my favourite, but Tap is next to platform 1B where I catch my train from. The Cat is 1/4 of a mile in the wrong direction ;-)

    I think overall Dev Cat is better. The Tap is the sort of place I'd start off in with a couple of pints or call in for a couple at last orders. I could easily spend all day/evening/night in the Dev Cat. They do decent snap too and it's very handy for the Corp.

    Sheaf View at Heeley is the best real ale pub in Sheffield for me,its deep in Blunt country but is a 'proper' pub. Devs not bad along with the Tap however best range and quality of Thornbridge beers is at The Greystones. Just my opinion like

    I've heard good things about it so will have to make a trip.

    Can't beat a trip to the Porterhouse in Covent Garden for the London away days.
