Some kid under 5 has been discouraged from having a season ticket by the club - they say he's too young because of health and safety

And then his Dad dragged our club through the media because he didn't get his own way.

I disagree mate. Although if it had been a L**ds fan I doubt I'd have heard about it because I don't read their messageboards, or live in the local vicinity to catch the local news :)

Then the argument about dragging BFC through the mud doesn't really stand then does it. If its only applies to the local vicinity.

Of course it does, they've been in the Chronicle and the local news which will have been seen right across Yorkshire.

why does'nt the club just say ok he/she can have one but on your own head be it, i'm paraphrasing there but you get my drift............... the club bares no responsibilty, that sort of thing, or according to some on here put them behind the goal they'll not get hit with a ball there.

So the so-called image of the club is more important than the fact they're treating a loyal fans badly? I think not.

People are all talking about season ticket stuff but dont seem to know full details, i know by commenting again i am upsetting 'some' fans but... This season as admitted by the club there are under 5's who will attend and do have season tickets. If anyone doubts what i'm saying please speak to Sharon Hardware/ Ken Mosley who I did speak to in depth prior to Barnsley Chrinicle getting involved. The Health & Safety comment cannot only be for my son! If anyone wants to know any details then please ask and don't assume. I will answer any query. Peoples false & inacurate comments dont help.

Why did you feel the need to run to the papers? Surely you could have sorted out your issues with the club one to one, or did you crave the attention?

I spoke to club on 3 seperate occasions, I asked to attend club to discuss face to face, I asked to speak to Rowing, I asked why other juveniles were allowed tickets(same age) but not my kid. You tell me how the **** comment of H&S holds ANY grounds and I'll stand down. This is just stubborness by club, and as a marketing exercise for a Business it is suicide. This is not how business works. And further more I gaurentee that if you asked the club for clarification they would dismiss you as well.

Under 5's have been issued ST's in the past, but 2 years ago BFC brought in this new guidline for H&S reasons, what do you want them to do? Take the season tickets back from other fans?

Ab****ly not. But remeber the clubs reponse about flying balls/ children getting hurt/ H&S. How does the ball know? Honestly, and I mean honestly, would one more kid alter anything other that create revenue and enable us to attent as a complete family. Remember, honestly whats the difference.

Surely as a responsible parent you'd decide if it wasn't safe to take your son I know I would.

My son was 4 when he went to his 1st game and he loved every minute of it so much so he didn't want to come home. He's now 6 and hopefully he will attend more games this season.

I've been taking him since he was 2, i only asked for season ticket now because a seat next to me was available, honestly wish i'd not asked. Then again would someone have stopped me going into ground this season if i just turned up at gate, remember H&S.
