    becuase butterfield never gave ball away. Digbys a very good player but hes 17 and he will make a mistake.

    From what I've seen of digby he looks ok, nothing special, maybe because he isn't an attacking player. Time on his side though.

    its laughable really innit. I would be interested to recall our results from 96/97 when we got automatic to the prem.I bet we were relegation fodder for the "experts" even then.

    Aye but we knew differently back then. After finishing 6th and 10th I'd doubt we were relegation favourites.

    You're right, we were

    The clubs coming down from the Premier League were Bolton, QPR & Manchester City. All of whom were expected to bounce back straight away. Then there were the big spenders of Wolves, Sheffield United & Huddersfield. Birmingham, Norwich, West Brom, Stoke & Ipswich were also fancied. We were amongst the relegation candidates along with the likes of Southend, Reading, Tranmere & Grimsby.
    If I paid much attention to some of the persistent doom mongers I'd end up slashing my wrists!:D
