To a friendly we barely got out of second gear in. You need to read the Rotherham boards, some saying Barnsley were in second gear, wouldn't take that many chances in a league game, seemed to be playing keep ball... All comments from their fans. If friendlies wind some people up that much don't bother going to them, they're a workout and that's all.
I guess when you've gone 6 months hardly winning a game , a friendly against a local rival two divisions below might have been an opportunity to give the fans a bit of a boost, get the winning habit.....but I agree that in the grand scheme of things friendlies don't count for much, best friendly last season was the Hibs wash out.
