    i think Collins will be a big part too
    and when Edwards has played hes always looked good.
    we have options at the back too with hassell, and stones and the development squad kilburn.

    Perhaps though if we were not always relying on the likes of Foster and especially McNulty to play football they might be able to concentrate on defending more.

    I actually agree with Hemsworth

    In an ideal world I'd love us to sign a commanding centre back with plenty of championship experience. But in the world we live in with budgetary restraints and limited squad sizes the fact of the matter is we already have four centre backs in Edwards, McNulty, Foster and Collins. Hill signed three of those players and gave a contract extension to the other so it's not like he's having to make do. It's his defence. For small clubs like Barnsley four senior players for two positions is plenty. We can't just continually sign new players. Particularly when we're under strength in other departments.

    I agree with you. But HT thinks these four are good enough whereas I don't and that's why I think we need another centre half

    I agree with you that we have the numbers but I don't think that helps the situation when they are not good enough.

    Collins is decent, Foster was decent a few years ago, McNulty is awful on the ball and Edwards does less than Barry Taylor.

    Hassell - New player - Collins - Golbourne

    Subs: McNulty, Foster.

    Sold for 50p: Edwards.
