Just what is it he is good at? I just cant see what it is . He does not tackle very well, he is not the best passer, he cannot head the ball all that far, he can kisk it with his left foot and he can get about the pitch like no other player I have seen, but what is he good at?

If we sign Andreas and Martin that part of the team will be strengthened even more. However it's the defence we need players for. Can't rely too much on the likes of Stones and Steade.

Perkins was superb for us up to his injury lay off

Well I suppose its all about opinions and I dont remember using such a big font but his ability to break things up and win balls he looks second best for gets applause from me every week. He never stops and we need him to do the same again this season as he is our main defensive midfielder at the moment.

Perkins has someone as good as he is playing next to him - Dawson. That's the problem.

Perkins is hugely important in a 5 man (or 3 man) midfield. He has a key role. He isn't effective in a flat 4 but I can't quite get how anyone doesn't see what he brought to the team when we played 4-5-1 (or 4-3-3).

I also reckon there is a direct correlation between disliking Hill and disliking Perkins. He is the poster boy for the anti-Hill splinter group

People say the only way to get round a lack of talent is by working harder than the other team. That's what Perkins does. He sets an example and brings an energy that the other players tend to follow.

If we're expecting him to create then of course he's ****. Just like he was when Hill played him wide left at the start of the season. But let him sit, harrass and generally be an annoying little Albino ******* to the other side and he's the first name on the team sheet.

I'm genuinely excited to see how he, Dawson and Mellis work together but more about our options out wide this year - Done, Etuhu, Silva, O'Brien, Clarke etc. Add that into Davies/Mido and Mellis and I think we look relatively creative.

Dislike - just a coincidence that I don't rate Perkins. The anti-Hill poster is Wiseman, I think you'll find.

This thread is very harsh on Perkins. He's a really good player for us. I think we are forgetting his performances in the earlier part of last season. I think he will be even better this year and if he stays fit will be a contender for player of the season. Get behind him.

I reckon most people remain to be convinced by Wiseman's defensive capabilities, even fully signed-up Hillists
