It seems ages since I was last in Oakwell. Hopefully, I'll get my first chance to see the new signings, the two triallists and how the youngsters are developing.
On a more sombre note, I was saddened to hear of the death of antiques expert David Barby. He always came across as a charming gentleman, very knowledgeable and engaging.

Are you not going Bob? That's a shame as I was really looking forwards to reading your Oakwell review when I got home.

You could well be right. I missed the final six weeks, or so, of last season due to ill health. It feels such a long time since I was down at Oakwell. There's nothing at stake tomorrow, so I can be far more relaxed than normal. It'll give me a day off from the dig, too.

It has been a long time. I went to the Brighton game (you missed nowt) and I can't make tomorrow so when I go to the Boro game it will be almost four months since my last visit to Oakwell. Seems longer. I think I've missed the routine more than the football though.

The last game I went to

Was the 4-0 defeat to Reading, so I'm hoping tomorrow will be an improvement on that!:D
