Good point well made. Perhaps he's deliberately being bad at punditry to distract us from his overt gayness. As most thespians prefer same sex company, an erudite, witty, interesting pundit, with acting aspirations may sound the homo-alarm a little too loudly. Or perhaps he's just dull as ditch-water, not very bright and a tad camp.
