I'm guessing, that the 400k was 400k of the expected fee we got for Butterfield. But it remains to be seen whether that 400k is part of the Butterfield money we have now plugged the TV revenue gap with. All I do know is, that we will be playing 2nd tier football again this season and we should be grateful for that. Oh, and that going to away games is now "financially supporting" our local rivals. Apparently.
well you are. dont away teams get about 5% of match tickets income. theres money there conan to buy players he wants. Keith Hill will not over spend on a player. There are a few players that he wants but it will take time. Theres a lot of good players on frees but at the moment they want slightly too much. Has we get towards Aug 31 there demands will drop day by day. I like that the club havent said, well thats the butterfield money lets spend it. They have a budget and thats what they will spend. Although i think they or some on here anyway are going OTT about the money issues. Mr Rowings never once changed what hes said. There his money there to get champ and premier league experienced players. BTW, who ever got this silva ins done a grwat job. He will turn out to be a right player but we will have to give him time.
I'm well aware that the home team gets the vast majority of matchday revenue. But my point wasn't that, was it? My point is, by saying I'm going to 12 away games this season, I'm being called a deserter, and being told that I'm financially supporting rival clubs. When, in fact, I'm just supporting my club by turning up and showing my support at each game I am ABLE to attend, be it home or away. The "I'm better than you" ******** that surrounds this forum is becoming as immature as it is pathetic. I don't recall me ever telling any other user of the bbs how to support the club, or when and where to attend. I'd be a complete bellend to do that....
I'd spend it on the biggest scalextric set known to man....and a few ales. And a pack of these top trumps I keep hearing so much about!
Not correct. Chron statement says that Hill's budget hasn't changed from last year and money available to sign Championship experienced players. No mention of only on loan.
im not telling you what to do merlin. just read the other post and it wasnt like you first said. You are looking at a 40/60% split. Im not saying dont go away, beciase quite simply i cant. i like going awatly too.
no not on loan merlin. they will not be towarda back end of aug. some said 4 trialist are in club. they will want to be permo conteacts to add value to squad.
Don't forget the solar panels on the Ponty roof to power the scaletrix. You'd have to stop play when it got dark though.
I'll do as I please, as would anybody. I've given my reasons for my attending this season, and just wondered what others were doing. Nowt more, nowt less. But I then read Gally amongst others, stating I was financially supporting rivals. Which is ******. I'm supporting my club, but in a different way to my normal routine. I fancied changing it up. The club wants to be thankful I haven't sacked it off full stop after the utter ***** I witnessed last season.
The away team only gets 5% (I believe that was the figure) of all tickets sold at their ground before an away game. They don't get any share of anything else. Us against Bristol away: Bristol fan: We get none of that money. Barnsley fan who paid on the gate: we get none of that money. Barnsley fan who bought his ticket at Oakwell in advance: We get 5% of that money to cover the costs of selling the ticket. I believe that's right anyway. Could be wrong.
