Wonder if we have got anything lined up to replace the rubbish of recent seasons?

My favourite idea was gladiator style battles between the mascots

But more sensible what about getting the corner nr the ponty decked out with a stage and get up and coming local bands to play at half time / before the game. The ad boards could be placed on the stage and have more prominence with folk looking at it.

Or the stage could also be used for other stuff. Barnsley's got talent - lol. That could throw some funny stuff up. Free entry for kipper. :D

What about a 'boob off' pick 5 pretty woman (ugly 1's for boring away teams) then parade around the pitch at half time then cheer who you think as the best pair, it'll certainly draw in more away crowds and hopefully more home fans too????

A reckon it could take off

You need to be a bit more specific or we could end up with the cast from Magic Mike or The Full Monty ;)

Anyone got any serious suggestions for a new half time game or entertainment?

I think first you have to determine who actually wants entertaining and pitch it at them. Personally I dont feel the need to be entertained for such a small period of time. Much prefer to chat with those around me.

I used to like the crossbar challenge, but that's cause in Ponty you cant really see what's happening with the new on they've got.

I also likes the name 'on mi shed'.

The band idea would definitely have legs providing health and safety didn't go mad about a stage on the corner section between the Ponty and West Stands. Although saying that they normally put the tv studio up there on live games so shouldn't be a problem. They could even get a sponsor for it! Give each band 3 songs then at the end of the season the best one (as voted for by fans XFactor Style) comes back and plays the final game of the season and wins some sort of cash prize.

The next one is more of a novel idea about the use of some of the empty seats. Give two or more schools free tickets to the kids for each home game. Depending on away following they could sit in either the West Stand or the North Stand. Make them get to Oakwell for midday (providing it's a 3pm Kick Off) Give them a little tour of the ground and facilities, meet Toby Tyke, see the changing rooms etc then take them to the club shop......they might even spend money. You could even get some of the injured/suspended players in the club shop to autograph things for the kids. At half time get some small sided mini games on between the two schools. You could have 3 or 4 games running at once if needs to encorporate all ages.

Even if only a small percentage of the kids get 'bitten by the football bug' then they will have to be brought in future by paying parents, want kits, programmes etc etc.

Might be a rubbish idea but its got to be better than the current tripe we are dished up!

All these ideas are great but without being a pessimist is it really going to fetch extra bodies to oakwell?

Can't beat Penalty shoot out in front of Ponty. Mascot, anybody etc.

And we should let kids sprint on to pull out half time draw tickets again. Kids enter pitch means Don can take Season Ticket away so they're not hurt by flying balls. 2 bids, 1 stone.

I like what they did at leeds. Where someone has a go at scoring without the ball hitting the floor, all at different distances, and they can gamble what they have already won to have a go at the next distance. (I hope that makes some sort of sense)
