Lots Of STFUs & Dislikes For Me Today

Can't understand it really. I know lot of people think it's a cardinal sin to speak out against the club or any of its players but its obvious that people just can't see what's in front of them.

 

I think you're missing the point Connan.You don't know who Barnsley are going to sign in the coming weeks neither do I or any one else on here so just lay off the club a bit and wait and see what happens.Its called patience.

 

Some people will believe absolutely anything the club say.............. example- Dagnall said to be looking sharp in pre season.... do me a favour, he'll never be good enough for the championship in a million years.......why are people so naive?

Why would we sign anyone really good now....we've had all summer and signed one player with a very good pedigree....trouble is he is 3 stone overweight...the rest....average at best..... but at least we are consistent in that department....consistently signing players who clearly arn't good enough

Beg to differ. People either think the squad is good enough to keep us up or that we will be bringing in four Championship standard players in the next 28 days.

 

Is that the advice from a trained therapist? and, can you get it on a mug a la "Keep calm and ignore the STFU's"?

 

I'm sure, that given your views about the club and the club's honesty towards its supporters, you will have plenty of interesting questions to put to "The Don".

 

I'm one of the most positive people on here.

I just think that a great club like this is being let down by poor management on and off the field, and with the right people in place we could have a resurgence. This is never going to happen with this "board", or manager and regardless of all the fawning over them it's not going to happen with the likes of McNulty, Dawkins and Dagnell.

I came up with six positive ideas to generate a bit more revenue and I got genrally negative responses along the lines of "it's too much of a financial risk" (a few tins of paint and a couples of plasmas FFS). The most positive response I got was from someone else who is seen as a moaner. He thinks the same way I do - we have a great club with bags of potential that is being allowed to stagnate.

 

No and Yes. The guy has got his opinions and and he hammers them home but then so do those that disagree with those opinions.

Rewording the Customer Charter and keeping schtum about it counts as honesty towards its supporters. Hmmm there you go.

He can certainly never be classed as Bi-polar. There is glass half full and glass half empty, and then there is glass empty, you're out with thirty mates and it's your round in the most expensive place in town. Negativity is infectious and can pull everyone and everything down with it. All is not well with the club, but neither will it get better with an all pervasive cloud of doom hanging over the place. If you're constantly told you're crap at every turn and every opportunity, you'll stop caring, throw up a wall and ignore everyone. Nothing at Oakwell will change overnight for the better, but it could for the worse. Gally's approach is the right one.

 

Sorry about the STFU and dislike, mate. I just thought I'd jump on the bandwagon.

And in all seriousness, you keep on doing as you are. Your opinions are as valid as the next mans. Don't let the basterds grind you down.

Nor will there be. You are entitled to voice your opinions and concerns, just like everyone else, and should be allowed to do so without being subjected to personal abuse. A football forum is, in my opinion, the perfect medium to express views and opinions.
However, other people are also entitled to their opinions, too. They are entitled to offer their views without having to put up with snidey and sneering swipes at them for a perceived lack of vision, simply for having the audacity of seeing things from another angle and achieving a different conclusion. It's a two way street.
