    Is it me or does anyone else think basketball is absolute *****?

    I've just flicked it on now and a cant believe how boring it is, how do yanks draw in crowds of 50 & 60 thousand? You can't even fart near them without giving a foul away, toss!

    It's a non-contact sport. It's an awesome game to play, if you're half decent

    Fair play to you mate, just never took to the sport. Not fussed on many american sports really, basketball, baseball, American football etc etc

    I used to play a lot at school, loved it. Never had the opportunity since.

    I wasnt aware there was a sheffield league until i came across the website by accident the other day. How did your season go?

    Should take it up again mate. It's really fun. Doesn't cost alot to join up either :). Urm it went okay mate mid table haha. We're in the second division though.

    Agree - I find it absolutely tedious. However, that's pretty much what the majority of Americans think about footie. I guess it depends on what you're brought up on.

    TBH as I see it, its one of those sports thats goodto play but average to watch. Invented for the yanks to be a sport thats fast scoring and not too hard on the brain.

    Allendale - is that Loftus' team? I play for Darfield and we're joining Sheff league next year. played a couple of times for Foulstone last year too.

    It's only entertaining if it's neck-and-neck for the final 5-10 minutes, it's only really worth tuning in at the end.

    The rest of it, up and down, up and down, totally tedious.

    Went to see the Lakers & Clippers it was great at the game as theres always something going on however on tv its not entertaining
