I think if he's played well in pre-season (better than Wiseman?) then he deserves to start the season in that position. That has to be the incentive for any of the young professionals at the club - to know that if they impress when given the chance, they'll then have a run in the team. I've always felt we're a bit overprotective of the younger players - they should be chomping at the bit to play, and if they're showing they are good enough they should get a run in the team rather than just being dipped in and out - gives them a chance to make a position their own.
Im hoping both are in the team at spotland Scotts a good good player and im almost 90% sure he will start on saturday. I think its most likely to be be a back 4 of Wiseman Mcnulty Foster and maybe stones.
Wiseman isn't good good enough. I am hoping for: Stones Sonko McNulty Collins/Goldbourne or Sir Bob Sonko McNulty Stones
Stones Foster Sonko McNulty (seen as he can play alright at LB) or Hassell Foster McNulty Goldbourne IMO I don't rate Collins highly at all
I think he's equipped himself well And I doubt there'll be many who'd be disappointed or annoyed were young Stones to be selected.
Sonko who has all that Premier League experience, is a better player and is physically imposing, or Foster who has never played above this level and has been a part of the worst defence in this league for the last 5 years. No you're right, let's stick with Fozzy. Good grief.
I'd like to see this particular eleven on Saturday: Lukas Stones Sonko McNulty Golbourne Hassell Perkins O'Brien Mellis Etuhu Davies *awaits contrary Mary's disapproval
