    We won 7 of them, got the silver in another, the bronze in another and were disqualified in the last when we'd posted the fastest time.

    And unlike just about every other sport each country was only allowed to enter one participant in each race because we were so dominant in Beijing. If we were allowed to enter two many of those golds would have been backed up by silvers.

    Phenomenal.

    Oh and our cycling team is beating the entire Kazakhstan Olympic squad.

    If we are going to knight Wiggins and Dame Pendleton (to go with Sir Chris Hoy) then surely it should be Lord Dave B of the Velodrome.
